The traditional rulers of the Saapade community have thrown weight behind the leadership of the newly appointed rector, Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, Dr. Sanni Kehinde OSeni. On a separate courtesy call to these rulers on his first day in office, the rector terming the pressing needs of the students as “utmost priority” appealed to these rulers for a prompt response to the rising need for an improved students’ welfare in the community.

The traditional rulers in the Saapade community comprise the Odemo of Isara-Remo, HRM Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe, Alaye Ode of Ode-Remo, HRH Oba (Dr.) Surv. Adetinji Osho and the Onipara of Ipara Remo, HRH, Oba Taiwo Taiwo.

In their remarks, these rulers pledge support for the leadership of the Rector, Dr. Sanni Kehinde Oseni.

The Odemo of Isara, HRH Oba Adebose Mayungbe while expressing optimism on the leadership of the rector maintained that the Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic Saapade is on a journey to an enviable height and that the Isara community is readily committed to the growing population of Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Saapade.

On the performances of the institution, the Alaye ode of Ode- Remo, HRH Oba (Dr.) Surv. Adetinji Osho, while receiving the delegation led by the Rector, Dr. Sanni Kehinde Oseni stressed that the performances of Gateway (ICT) Polytechnic, Saapade, cannot be over-emphasized. He further expressed his commitment to the polytechnic’s growth and development, adding that an emergency meeting will be held with tenancy stakeholders to address the price hike of house rents in the community.

As part of his address, the Onipara of Ipara, HRH Oba Taiwo Taiwo, assured the polytechnic of the commitment of his community to the provision of affordable accommodation to the students.
