Brief History

Our full accreditation is in view following the successful outcome of the National Board of Technical Education’s visit in September 2018. Approval was then given to run two streams of 30 students each for the National Diploma Program, this started the following academic year. Currently we have over 50 students in this 2019/2020 academic session and this is bound to increase in the years to come.

We have other technicians who man all the necessary workshops and studios.

Subjects Required for Application:

SSCE / WAEC /GCE / NECO with at least five credits at two sittings:
English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any from the following: Chemistry, Biology/Agriculture Science/ General Agriculture, Technical Drawing, Fine Art/Visual; Arts, Geography, History, Woodwork, Metal Work, Further Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, Business Methods, and Religious Knowledge. At least a pass in Fine Art/ Visual Arts/Technical Drawing will be advantage and Relevant NTC/NBC & NVC Trades.

NABTEB: At least five credits at two sittings, which must include: Mathematics, English Language, Physics/Chemistry and General Woodwork,and any one from Economics and Biology. The credit levels passes at SSCE or its equivalent at not more than two sittings.

  • The five subjects must include Mathematics, English Language, a basic science and any other subject from Geography, Economics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Technical Drawing Art, Woodwork, Accounting, Basic Surveying etc.
  • Five Credit passes in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of an NBTE recognized Pre-liminary-ND programme offered in the Polytechnics or similar Post-Secondary Technical Institution on a foundation of five passes relevant to the programme.
